How do you bounce back?

How do you bounce back? What's the most important thing to do after you miss a goal?

A few weeks ago, I shared with you my goal to send you 100 emails in 100 days #100emails100days. I’m doing this because I want to get to know you better and I know how overwhelming it can get to start a business. Plus, I’m always up for a good stretch goal because it helps me grow!

So, I decided, to show up in your inbox every day to be there for you. To teach a little, motivate a little and support you in your journey.

Well, guess what? I messed up! I didn’t send you an email this past Sunday.

So today, I want to share what I learned.

I can choose to give up or I can choose to admit it and move on with the intent to do better and stay consistent.

In other words, the most important thing about missing my goal is what I do next.

Many of us are on the path of growth. Maybe you’re starting your new business or trying to get your first few coaching clients. Here’s what I know for certain. Your success is dictated more by how you handle the missteps than your behaviour when everything is going well.

For me that means, jumping back on my laptop and writing this email that you’re reading.

I’m not saying I won’t, by chance, miss another day’s email in my journey to sending you #100emails100days. What I am saying is that when I miss a day, I can choose to not let it get me down and commit to begin again. I can choose progress over perfection.

What about you? What goal are you working towards right now? What will you choose to do when you drop the ball? Will you give up and walk off the court or will you pick it up again and bounce back?

I'd love to hear from you, share your experience with me.
