How I’d Make My First $3K in 30 Days (No Website. No Followers. No Fluff.) Ep 296

If you’re a new coach, making your first $3,000 can feel like an impossible dream. You might think you need a polished website, thousands of followers, or a complicated funnel before you can sign clients.

But here’s the truth: you don’t need any of that. You can make $3K in just 30 days by focusing on the right things—clarity, conversations, and a simple offer.

In this post (and in the full podcast episode), I’ll walk you through the exact 3 steps I’d take if I had to start from scratch tomorrow.

Step 1: Pick a Niche (Fast, Not Forever)

The biggest mistake new coaches make is waiting until they’ve found their “perfect niche.” Instead, pick a niche quickly so you can start talking to people.

Ask yourself: What problem can I help someone solve in 4–6 sessions that they actually want solved?

Examples:

  • New managers who feel uncomfortable giving feedback
  • Busy moms who want more time for themselves
  • Professionals who feel stuck and want clarity on their next step

It doesn’t have to be forever. It just has to be clear enough to start conversations.

Step 2: Build a Starter Offer

Once you know your niche, create a simple coaching package:

  • 4–6 sessions
  • 45–60 minutes each
  • Priced at $500–$1,000

That’s it. No fancy curriculum. No massive online course. Just coaching.

Here’s the math:

  • 3 clients at $1,000 each = $3K
  • 6 clients at $500 each = $3K

Choose the version that feels most natural to you.

Step 3: Reach out to 20 People

This is where the magic happens. Don’t wait for clients to find you—go start conversations.

Make a list of 20 people you already know: friends, colleagues, acquaintances. Send them a warm, authentic message. Here’s a simple script you can adapt:

“Hey [Name], I’ve started a coaching practice where I help [type of person] with [problem]. I’m taking on a few clients right now. Do you know anyone who might be interested in this kind of support?”

You’ll be surprised how many people say: Actually, I might be interested. From there, you book a consult, share your offer, and sign your first clients.

Final Thoughts

You don’t need a website, a logo, or a big audience to make $3K as a coach. You need three things: clarity, courage, and consistency.

Pick a niche. Build a starter offer. Reach out to 20 people.

Do this for 30 days, and you’ll be amazed at how quickly your coaching business starts to grow.
